In one stupendous Saturday the Rockaway Artists Alliance brings together song, story, surf, sand, sun and sound. Starting at on Saturday August 15 at 11am the RAA will present Music on The Beach on Beach 98 street, followed by Live Music at Tribute Park at 6pm at Beach 116 street and Beach Channel Drive, and an encore presentation of Dzieci's Makbet, the Shakespeare classic as its never been seen before, at 8pm at the sTudio 7 gallery at Fort Tilden.

The sounds of music will sail over the boards and the beach as Music on The Beach kicks off at 11am. Taking place in the most perfect summer setting, directly on the boardwalk at Beach 97 St, Music on The Beach will keep beachgoers swaying to a beat that stretches over a wide variety of musical styles. Jammin' Jon and friends, Jessica Maroney and Indaculture will all be playing and musically conjuring up a very special day at the beach. Admission is free.

Later, as co-presented by The Rockaway Artists Alliance and the Friends of Tribute Park, a host of vibrant and versatile musical performers will entertain in one of the most beautiful spots in the Rockaways. Tribute Park, at Beach 116 street and Beach Channel Drive, will spotlight the musical groups Hard Bargain, Squid, Nina & the Rebel Band and Reda Shay against a backdrop of the blue waters of Jamaica Bay as the sun begins to dip behind the Manhattan skyline. The music starts at 6pm. Admission is also free, although donations to RAA will be accepted at both events.

Meanwhile at 8pm all of the sTudio 7 gallery becomes a stage as the lights go up on the unique theatre troupe Dzieci's Makbet. Presented as a traveling gypsies' re-telling of the Shakespeare classic Macbeth, the actors weave a skilled and passionate performance together with music, dance, sound and fury that has previously had the playgoers jumping to their feet in applause at the end. Presented in the round with no formal stage, the production draws the audience in to become a part of it. Doors open at 7:30pm. Admission is free. A $10 donation is suggested. The gallery is located in the T-7 building at Fort Tilden.

Broadening the "ART" in Rockway Artists Alliance, the RAA hosts a regular Thursday Open Mike Music Nights all year round at their sTudio 7 gallery, recently presented its first successful film festival and continously supports local music and performance events. The RAA has become a hub for musicians and performers to meet and new talent to emerge.
